APET and CPET have different surface properties and sealing temperatures. In some cases a dual-compatibility film works on both; in others separate films give better results. We recommend testing on both substrates before committing to a single specification.
APET (amorphous PET) is clear and rigid, suitable for chilled food. CPET (crystallized PET) is opaque and can withstand oven temperatures up to 220°C for dual-ovenable ready meals. Our lidding can be formulated for either.
