Pasteurization (70–90°C) extends refrigerated shelf life. Retort sterilization (121–135°C) achieves commercial sterility for ambient storage. PA/PP film is required for retort; standard PA/PE is only suitable for pasteurization temperatures.
PA/PP can run on standard equipment with higher temperature settings. We provide forming parameters for your machine. Some machines may need temperature zone adjustments vs PA/PE film.
Yes. PA/EVOH/PP provides retort capability plus OTR ≤ 3–5 cm³/m²/day for ambient shelf-stable products such as ready meals and pet food.
