Standard PA/PE film has OTR 20–40 cm³/m²/day. Adding EVOH reduces this to ≤ 3 cm³/m²/day — a 10–15× improvement that directly translates to longer shelf life and better color retention for fresh red meat.
EVOH barrier decreases slightly at high relative humidity (>85% RH). Our film design positions the EVOH layer in the center, protected by outer PA and PE layers that act as moisture barriers.
